The status describes how each applications makes its way through the process from start to finish.
At any time (and at any status) during the application process, the curator and experience provider are both able to see all details of the application, including the date when the agreement became legally binding, by opening the application. As the application moves through the application statuses, next steps appear and are completed and are added to the application page so that both the curator and the experience provider have a clear view of the previous and existing components of the application.
“Requested”
A “Requested” application is one that has been submitted by a curator that is interested in partnering with you.
To review a “Requested” application, click on the button that says “Requested”.
Once the button is pressed, you can now review the application.
The first part of the application includes the photo and demographic information of the curator and their followers.
“Total Reach Count” is the total number of followers/reach of their various media accounts. (A media account is their Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, blog, website, etc. If they have multiple accounts, “Total Reach Count” adds these all together so that you understand their total audience size.)
“Content Focus” is the type of content that the curator produces/shares.
“Market Focus” is the geographic location of the curator’s followers/database.
“Profile Categories” is how the curator defines themselves. You can click on each profile category to learn more.
“Media Accounts” is a list of their various media accounts, showing their reach (followers/viewers/database), engagement, rank (above industry average), and bio/description.
“Application Collaborations” is where curators can provide links to recent collaboration examples that they feel are relevant to the application.
“Experience History” is a listing of any previous Jerne experience partnerships that they may have completed, including the rating that the experience provider gave the curator for their partnership.
“Reason for Application Request” is where the curator explains the “how and why” they feel that partnering with you will bring a positive outcome.
“Offerings”, “Deliverables”, and “Agreement” are shown, using your standard template that you set in your profile. The difference here is that they are now editable so that you can adjust them based on the curator’s profile. For example, if you realise the curator is more food focused based on their profile, you may want to increase your food offering in that section.
“Preferred Dates” is where you can select a date that works for you. If no date options work, you can select that as a reason when you click “Decline”.
“Decline” is how you decline an application. You are given several templated decline reasons to choose from or you may write your own. Decline reasons are explained via a lengthy and friendly e-mail to the curator however you only need to click the short reason – we take care of the rest.
“Pre-Approve” means that you would like to move forward with this partnership with the curator. Do not click “Pre-Approve” if you are not ready to move forward as once you click “Pre-Approve” it then goes to the curator as-is and the curator then clicks “Approve” which means the deliverables, offering, and agreement become binding. The only way you can make changes after the curator has clicked “Approve” is if you mutually agree to a change (such as date, etc.) which must be communicated by you and the curator to support@jerne.com.
When you click “Pre-Approve”, the curator receives an e-mail congratulating them on their pre-approval and asks them to log in to either decline or approve your partnership. If they click “Approve”, the partnership becomes binding as per above. If they click “Decline”, you will also receive an e-mail notification along with their reason for declining.
“Approved”
Once a curator clicks “Approve”, you will receive an e-mail notifying you of such. The e-mail you will receive includes the e-mail address for the curator and asks you to contact them to complete their reservation/booking of your product for your partnership. At any time, you can log in to see the application on your dashboard under the “Approved” status. Simply click on the “Approved” status in the drop down menu under “Applications” on the dashboard and then click the “Approved” button on the application you are looking for.
At this time, the curator also receives an e-mail congratulating them on their approval and notifying them that they should expect to receive an e-mail from you in order to complete their reservation/booking.
Jerne will automatically add the affiliate booking link to the application a minimum of 3 days prior to the experience (or earlier at your or the curator’s request).
“Declined”
If you choose to decline an application, you are given many options as to the reason that you would like to do so. Once you select a reason and click “Decline”, an automated e-email will be sent to the curator to let them know that they have been declined. Even though the experience provider is just clicking on “Decline”, the curator will receive a detailed and kind explanation, including inviting them to consider applying again in the future should they believe their situation has changed in line with the decline reason.
“Open”
After an application is approved, the next status it changes to is “Open”. Applications automatically change to “Open” at 7 days prior to the date that the experience is set to begin.
“Pending Close”
An application automatically changes to “Pending Close” once the experience has been completed. At this point, the curator receives an automated e-mail notifying them to complete the uploading of their deliverables.
Deliverables: Proofs
The curator uploads screenshots of their deliverables, including uploading and inputting the analytics, for the experience provider to review.
Deliverables: Archives
The curator uploads high-resolution images and videos that may have been part of their deliverables, for the experience provider to review, download, and use according to the terms of their partnership agreement with the curator.
At this point, the curator is also given the change to upload their archival imagery to their MyJerne page so that they can share it publicly with their followers and include it in their social media bio or website to encourage further purchases.
Once the curator has completed their deliverables, the experience provider is notified that it is now their turn to review the deliverables and provide their review and rating.
Reviews & Ratings
Following the completion of an experience, each of the curator and the experience provider rate their experience of partnering with each other. Each only sees the cumulative rating that the other gave once they have both completed the review and rating process.
“Completed”
An application automatically changes to “Completed” once the curator, experience provider, and Jerne admin have finished their tasks in completing the application.
